Are you ready to come on board and become our new Training Center Manager?
Well-trained technicians make all the difference on board! Our operational training programs are also designed to increase safety, efficiency, and confidence during every voyage.
What you will be doing: As Training Manager, you will be the face and driving force of our international training department. The compact team consists of a Trainer, a Training Coordinator, and external trainers. You have a hands-on mentality and feel at home in the organizational and operational side of the business.
In this role, you will manage the Training Center in Rotterdam and help build a uniform, future-oriented global training network. You will be responsible for developing training courses, modernizing our methodology, and ensuring the quality of all training courses — for customers and colleagues, both at home and abroad. You will also feel right at home when giving training courses yourself. We work with a Learning Management System.
Our target group of students consists of our distributors' engineers, but we also train our own engineers and, last but not least, ship crews. We provide both classroom and online training courses. You will be in regular contact with customers and official bodies. You will liaise internally with various colleagues from departments such as Sales, Service, Finance, R&D, Engineering, etc.
You can see that there is a lot of variety in your job.
Of course, you have a maritime background and knowledge of laws and regulations.
In short:
- Daily management of the Training Center;
- Drawing up the annual plan and budget for the Rotterdam Training Center;
- Modernizing training methods and implementing a globally uniform approach;
- Guaranteeing quality and policy within the department;
- Developing training courses;
- Organizing training courses;
- Providing training courses, including management of simulators and materials;
- Preparing quotations and taking care of invoicing;
- Providing technical support to customers and colleagues;
- Coordinating training courses with other Training Centers, including pricing;
- Ensuring the timely availability of training materials and documentation;
- Selecting and assessing external trainers and specialists;
- Managing all training programs for internal and external staff.
Who are you?
- You have a college degree (HBO);
- Teaching skills;
- Technical empathy;
- You have demonstrable maritime knowledge, including relevant laws and regulations;
- You are a natural talent at providing training;
- You communicate excellently in Dutch and English;
- You work accurately, are stress-resistant, and customer-oriented;
- You have strong communication and social skills;
- You are committed to collaboration, demonstrate ownership, and are results-oriented;
- You enjoy traveling to training locations from time to time to

- Maximum gross salary of €5,263 per month on a full-time basis; Salary will be determined based on your background and experience.
- Full-time job (36 hours per week is negotiable);
- 32 vacation days (for full-time employment) per calendar year;
