Installation & Service Engineer – Maritime

What will you be doing?
As an Installation & Service Engineer, you will go on board ships or perform work in a building at a client's location on land. The vessels you will be dealing with may be inland waterway, seagoing, or fishing vessels. However, it is also possible that you will go to an offshore platform. Naturally, you will first receive thorough training. When you have finished your job, you will discuss what you have done with your client. Is the client satisfied? Then you are satisfied too! Ideally, you already have some experience, but you are also very welcome without experience. We are happy to train you. You must not be afraid of heights, as you will occasionally need to work at heights.
Your tasks in brief:
• Maintenance, repair, and installation of PMR (Private Mobile Radio) equipment and networks, including: two-way radios, base stations, transmitters, telephone exchanges, and PA systems, on-site at the customer's location
• Resolving first-line equipment malfunctions
• Programming, testing, and delivering the equipment
• Implementing customer-specific solutions at the customer's location
• Willingness to travel abroad
• Administrative tasks, such as recording work activities, time tracking, and creating backups
Who are you?
• You hold at least an MBO level 3 diploma in the field of IT, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or Telecommunications
• VCA Basic Safety diploma or willingness to obtain this diploma
• Experience in data and telecommunications is a plus
• You are up to date with the latest developments in the field of IT regarding IP technology
• You have strong communication skills
• You speak and write English well
• You are analytically strong, stress-resistant, and you are honest and accurate
• You have a “Working at Height” certificate or are willing to obtain this certificate
• Driving license (B)
